How to use a paint roller

Learn how to use Nippon Paint’s paint roller to efficiently paint your walls. Follow these basic tips to finish the paint job easily with an even finish.

1. Pre-wet roller

Pre-wet the roller thoroughly, then squeeze or spin dry until it is only slightly damp.

2. Ensure even coating

Firmly roll the roller back and forth on the paint tray to ensure the roller is evenly coated in paint.

3. Start painting

Begin by rolling up and down in a sweeping manner. Maintain a gentle pressure so that the paint applies evenly without drying out.

4. Rinse and dry

When done, rinse the remaining paint off thoroughly with water or thinner and let it air dry for the next use.
