What causes paint peeling?

Paint peeling is most commonly caused by poor surface preparation or improper painting system, which results in poor paint adhesion, causing the paint coating adhesion to loosen. Peeling paint can also be caused by expired or old paint film, or even water damage. All this results in paint flaking, peeling, or blistering on your walls.
